1. Correction to Previous Editorial on Sammed Shikharji Case i) The editorial addresses factual corrections to an earlier article (April 1998 issue) regarding the ownership dispute over Sammed Shikharji. The correction, provided through Dr. Padmanabh S. Jaini and sourced from the Institute of Jainology, Ahmedabad, clarifies: ii) The 1977 judgment by the Patna High Court ruled that the mountain falls under the Bihar Land Reforms Act and is government property, not owned by any specific sect. iii) The High Court suggested the formation of a joint management committee, allowing Digambaras equal rights of worship in limited tonks. iv) The Division Bench turned this suggestion into a directive. v) The Supreme Court's 1997 interim order declined to interfere with the High Court's interim ruling. vi) Jinamanjari clarified that their earlier editorial was based solely on news sources and did not represent any sectarian view. 2. New Translation Initiative i) The issue announces the start of a new English translation project: ii) Dr. N.L. Jain, a seasoned professor and Jain scholar, is translating the Śat-Prarūpaṇa (first part of Ṣaṭ-Khaṇḍāgama) from its Hindi edition by Pt. Kailash Chandra Shastri. iii) Dr. Jain is also engaged in an English translation of the Sthānāṅga Sūtra for Jain Vishva Bharati, Ladnun. iv) His translation of Śat-Prarūpaṇa will be serialised in future issues of Jinamanjari.
